Welcome to my E-Portfolio!! Let's be honest, if it wasn't a General Ed requirement, I probably wouldn't have done this, but you gotta do what you gotta do to get where you wanna go. So welcome, take a look around and see what I've got going on!!
My Name is Leslie Langi. I was born in Carson, California, raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Attended Stansbury Elementary, West Lake Jr. High and graduated from Granger High School "Home of the Lancers" in 2002.
After high school I immediately went into the workforce. Worked at Discover Card for seven years. Finally got tired of the place and left and luckily landed a job at Salt Lake Community College.
I started off as a secretary for the Multicultural Initiatives Department. Then in August 2013 I officially transferred to be an Administrative Assistant in Student Life and Leadership.
I went back to school and I am loving every moment of it!!
In retrospect, I'm glad that I waited so long to go back to school cause I think I take it more seriously now. Still a little intimidated that I'm in a class full of teenagers, but the good thing about SLCC is that it's a non-traditional school. Meaning that there is a really good mix of demographics at SLCC.
My ultimate goal is to graduate with a degree in education. I honestly think that being a teacher is one of the BEST jobs you could have. To influence the future for good has to be such an honor. But for now, I'm in school, taking it steady and
Loving the ride, enjoying the journey.

Yes, I do like brown paper packages tied up with string, but here are a few of MY favorite things:
* STARS!! I've always enjoyed staring at the stars. Having the moment to myself to reflect on, where I am in life; How far I've come; and where I want to go.
* CHOCOLATE!!! This is a must. I read a quote once that said, "Chocolate doesn't ask questions, chocolate understands."
*MY PHONE!! I know, I know. But it's the truth. I'm attached to it all day long. When it's not part of me, I'm lost.
*BOOKS. I'm into mystery books and drama books. I feel like I'm an emotional reader. For example, when Edward left Bella in the woods in the sequel of the Twilight series, I was depressed. No good!!
*DESIGNING. I like to design things. Nothing specific but I love to design.
*SOCIAL MEDIA. From FaceBook to Twitter. Pinterest to Instagram. I have an account.
*GARDENING. I wish I could do it more. One day, time will allow.
*ZUMBA. Zumba I can honestly say has changed my life. There was a point in time when I was really depressed and down on myself. My friend Sinai introduced me to Zumba. It WOKE ME UP!!! I enjoyed dancing and just the whole lifestyle. It has helped me in my journey of weight loss. You won't see me on an info-mercial showing a massive weight loss. But slow and steady is how I'm running things.
